Former Comet director Lousada joins Buy It Direct

Lousada left Kesa-owned Comet, where he was services director and had previously held operations and commercial roles, at the start of this year.

Buy It Direct, which turns over £100m a year, sells products such as laptops, TVs and kitchens appliances under its own brand and subsidiary sites such as Laptopsdirect and DirectTVs. The retailer also runs white label sites for department store groups Debenhams and Bhs.

Managing director Nick Glynne said: “Toby brings a wealth of experience and knowledge gained over many years in the electrical sector. This will be invaluable to the board as we embark upon our next stage of growth.”
