Online fashion retailer Net-a-Porter is to move into menswear for the first time with the launch of a stand-alone menswear site.
Mr Porter will be aimed at affluent and stylish men and will offer 60 brands including Ralph Lauren, Burberry and YSL across clothes, shoes, accessories in addition to offering style advice. It will launch in January next year.
Natalie Massenet, founder of Net-a-Porter and its executive chairman, said: “This is an incredibly exciting new venture for us and one we have been planning for some time. We have always said that Net-a-porter will remain a woman’s brand and now we are ready to create a dedicated men’s shopping destination entirely conceived with the stylish man in mind.”
Last week luxury goods group Richemont completed its acquisition of shares in Net-a-Porter following its offer on 1 April. Richemont holds an effective interest of more than 93% in the issued ordinary capital of the etailer.
Net-a-porter reported £120m in unaudited turnover for the year to 31 January.
