Zara has unveiled its new transactional website allowing UK customers to buy its entire fashion collection online for the first time online.
Customers in the UK, Spain, Italy, Germany, France and Portugal will be able to use the site from Thursday (September 2).
Customers will be able to have goods delivered to them or pick them up in one of Zara’s 65 UK stores. Goods can be returned by post or to stores free of charge.
The website includes lookbooks, videos including behind the scenes footage and seasonal campaign shots.
Deputy chairman and chief executive of parent group Inditex Pablo Isla said that the launch is in line with its effort to deliver the “best service possible” to its customers. “Internet and the world of social networking are indispensable tools and extraordinary channels for communication, and fit perfectly with our group’s philosophy.”
Gap went live with its transactional website at the end of August and H&M is set to go live next week to newsletter subscribers with a full launched planned for September 16.
