Mobile phone company Orange has unveiled a new strategy for its UK business that includes ramping up its store count from 338 to 400 by next year.

Orange UK chief executive Tom Alexander said there will be a new structure for the company's board and that Orange will reduce duplication in management roles, while creating a further 500 customer-facing roles.

Alexander said: “These changes are designed to stop duplication within our organisation and ensure we are agile and able to deliver and react quickly to customers' needs. They'll also make staff more accountable, while generating greater financial and operational efficiencies.”

In addition, Orange will launch more contact options for network users, including instant messaging, web and in-store service.
