PC World's business arm has bought computer reseller Micro Warehouse UK for an undisclosed sum.
Hertfordshire-based Micro Warehouse will strengthen PC World's business-to-business operation, which it runs through 137 in-store centres. In the year to December 31, Micro Warehouse generated sales of£143 million and had net assets of£21.4 million.
PC World group managing director Simon Turner said: 'This is an important deal that will further consolidate our position in the UK B2B technology market.'
No value was put on the deal, but PC World parent Dixons gained£80 million from the sale of its stake in Wanadoo two months ago.
