Killick joined the group in 2000 as group financial controller. He worked on the purchase of Bonmarché in 2002, the Fragrance Shop in 2004 and the group's privatisation in 2005.
He previously worked as senior finance manager at the Burton group, assistant finance director at Going Places travel agency and group finance director at Bennetts Insurance.
The Peacock Group chief executive Richard Kirk said: 'Mike's promotion to the top job in finance is well deserved. He played an instrumental part in both the acquisition of Bonmarché and recent buy back of The Peacock Group. I am confident in Mike's ability and wish him every success for the future.'
Peacocks has more than 430 stores in the UK and over 50 franchises in Turkey, the Middle East, Ukraine and Russia.
