Ethical retailer People Tree has appointed a head of design to lead its UK design team.

Tracy Mulligan was previously creative director for fashion label Xterity London and has lent her design and consultancy skills to several retailers, including Thomas Pink.

People Tree founder Safia Minney said: “I love Tracy’s work – it’s fabulous to have a creative of her outstanding ability lead the design team.”

Last month, People Tree secured a£1 million cash injection from financier Oikocredit to help fund a year of expansion for the ethical fashion brand.
