Asos chair Crozier steps down for rival role

Crozier will step down from his role at Asos on November 28 after three years in post to focus on his new role at the telecoms giant.

He will stay on as chair at Premier Inn owner Whitbread and data analytics firm Kantar.

Asos has said that a search for Crozier’s successor is under way.

Prior to moving into non-executive roles, Crozier had previously helmed businesses including Saatchi & Saatchi, ITV and Royal Mail.

He succeeds Jan du Plessis at BT, who resigned as chair of the telecoms business in March. 

Crozier replaced Brian McBride as chair and non-executive director at Asos in November 2018.

The fashion etailer recently penned a strategic partnership with US department store Nordstrom, which will see its own-brand products sold in bricks-and-mortar stores for the first time. Nordstrom also invested a minority interest in the Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge and HIIT brands as part of the joint venture.
