Game is set to hire Chris Bell, the former boss of Ladbrokes, as its new chairman.
According to the Sunday Times, Bell is expected to replace Peter Lewis, who is retiring after 13 years in the role.
Bell has been on the Game board since 2003 and stepped in briefly as interim chief executive after former boss Lisa Morgan stepped down last year (check), and was replaced by Vodafone executive Ian Shepherd.
Bell left Ladbrokes last summer after 19 years.
An announcement from the games retailer is expected at its annual results on April 27.
