Hobbs has poached Topman head of ecommerce Gracia Amico to become its new director of ecommerce.
Amico will take up the post at the upmarket womenswear retailer at the end of the year and aims to push the fashion retailer’s online operations and drive the retailer’s ambitions overseas.
Amico said: “Hobbs is a fantastic brand. There are some really exciting ecommerce developments in the pipeline and I look forward to working with the team as we drive the success of the brand in to the future.”
Hobbs has been focusing on international growth this year, increasing the number of markets it ships to and is creating localised websites in France, Germany and Australia with the aim of eventually opening stores there.
In her time at Topman, Amico launched three international websites in France, Germany and the US. She also developed content and social media activity for the brand.
Hobbs marketing and ecommerce director Clare Dobbie said: “We are delighted to welcome Gracia to the Hobbs team, we loved her energy and entrepreneurial spirit and her experience will help drive our international aspirations.”
