DIY giant Kingfisher group IT director Mike Bell left the retailer last month after more than four years at the group.
A Kingfisher spokeswoman said: “Mike joined Kingfisher in January 2009 with the aim of transforming Kingfisher IT Services in readiness for the ‘Creating the Leader’ strategy. He leaves the function materially stronger than he found it, having fully achieved this aim.”
Kingfisher chief executive of group productivity and development, Steve Willett, will take on Bell’s multichannel responsibilities linked to Kingfisher’s ‘Creating the Leader’ strategy.
Willett was previously chief executive of Kingfisher’s trade business Screwfix.
Bell was formerly chief information officer at Somerfield and has held senior roles at United Distillers, Forte, Premier Farnell, and Boots.
