LloydsPharmacy has appointed Asda’s former head of colleague relations and policy Hilary Stables as its new HR director.
Stables will join in early May and replace Karen Paige, who “chose to leave the business to pursue other opportunities”.
Cormac Tobin, managing director of LloydsPharmacy and Celesio UK, said Stables has been brought on board because “she brings with her a wealth of excellent experience”.
He added: “I’m sure Hilary will be instrumental in helping us move our business forward through enabling our knowledgeable, inspiring and passionate colleagues.”
Stables has been poached from BT, where she is HR director of the company’s facilities services division.
Stables spent 16 years at Asda. She joined the grocer in 1994 as a colleague relations manager and worked her way up the ranks before joining BT in January 2011.
