Marks & Spencer is to reveal two clothing appointments today as it unveils its crucial autumn womenswear collection.
Head of buying at M&S Gillian Ridley Whittle is expected to be promoted to development and buying director of womenswear.
Queralt Ferrer, an executive from Inditex-owned fashion retailer Massimo Dutti, has been hired as the new head of design for its Autograph and Limited ranges, two of its key lines.
She is set to join M&S later this year, according to Sky News.
It is understood M&S chief executive Marc Bolland will herald the appointments as another step in the development of its womenswear business when he launches the retailer’s autumn collection today.
Both Ridley Whittle and Ferrer are to report to Frances Russell, M&S’s director of womenswear.
M&S declined to comment.
