Menswear retailer Moss Bros has appointed Robin Piggott as group finance director with immediate effect.
He will take over the role from Bryan Portman, who has been interim chief financial officer since April.
Piggott was most recently at mainstream womenswear retailer Alexon Group where he held a number of financial and commercial roles since he joined in 1987. He took up the role of group finance director in 1995 and helped restructure the finance team.
Prior to Alexon, he held senior financial roles at media company Granada Group and import business Geest Industries.
Moss Bros chief executive Brian Brick said: “I am delighted to welcome Robin to the Company. He has considerable experience of retailing and of leading the finance function of multi-brand, multi-site operations. His experience and style will allow him to make an immediate contribution to the Company, bringing new insights to the role.”
Earlier this month Moss Bros launched its first Moss Bespoke store on Blomfield Street in the City of London. The concept is expected to roll out across the UK through a network of standalones and department store concessions.
