- N Brown to pay national living wage to under-25s
- New wage was introduced on Friday
- 2,800 staff to be affected
Etailer N Brown will pay the new national living wage to its under-25 workers, going beyond the Government’s imposed wage increase.
The online fashion business, which owns JD Williams, Simply Be and Jacamo brands, has said it will pay all of its 2,800 UK staff at least £7.20 per hour from April 1.
N Brown Group’s people director Caroline Massingham said: “We’re applying the national living wage to all of our employees, regardless of age, as ultimately we think this is the right thing to do.
“The changes affect 262 of our colleagues from today (April 1), however that will increase over the next four years as the government aims for its £9-an-hour target by 2020.”
