Notonthehighstreet.com has snapped up Just Eat’s commercial finance director Phil Branston as its new chief financial officer.
Branston takes on his new role at the online marketplace today, working alongside chief executive Barrie Seidenberg.
Branston, who worked at Just Eat for over two years, will be tasked with “develop[ing] a high-performing finance team focused on scaling operations”.
Branston marks the second board-level hire Notonthehighstreet has made in recent months after snapping up Asos executive Richard Zubrik as chief technology officer in October.
Chief executive Barrie Seidenberg said: “Phil will be a great fit as our new chief financial officer.
“He combines deep financial and operating expertise with a track record of developing technology and ecommerce businesses, most recently in a marketplace environment. As we position ourselves for the future and continue to strengthen our executive team, Phil joins us at an exciting time and we’re delighted to have him on board.”
Branston added: “I’m inspired by Notonthehighstreet’s marketplace connecting millions of customers to the unique and high-quality products made by the small creative businesses that sell through its platform. The business has a clear roadmap for the future too and I’m excited to join at this point in the journey.”
