Pandora has appointed a new general manager for the British Isles as well as a new chief commercial officer.
The appointments have come from within the company with the general manager of Pandora Northern Europe, Sonia Lopez Delgado, becoming general manager of the British Isles, and chief of retail operations Massimo Basei becoming chief commercial officer.
Lopez Delgado will succeed Rasmus Brix who has also been appointed as senior vice-president of global commercial operations and will work at the company’s headquarters in Copenhagen.
Before joining Pandora in 2018, Lopez Delgado held senior roles at The Body Shop, LVMH Fragrances and El Corte Inglés.
She will help with Pandora’s continuing investment in expanding its retail stores in the UK as well as the rollout of its Evoke store concept to more locations.
Pandora chief executive Alexander Lacik said: “Having built a very strong team in [northern Europe] and driving impressive brand momentum in Germany, I’m certain that with Sonia to spearhead our efforts in [Britian], we’ll continue to drive strong brand momentum, give many more customers a world-class experience, and build our reputation as a full jewellery brand.”
Basei will take on the role of CCO from April 1 to ”drive operational excellence across Pandora’s more than 100 markets”.
He joined Pandora as country manager for Italy in 2010 and has since taken on additional responsibility to lead commercial operations across all Pandora’s markets in southern Europe, the Middle East and Africa before his promotion to chief of retail operations in 2023.
Lacik added: “As we continue to execute the next phase of our Phoenix strategy, we are consolidating responsibility for commercial operations and our clusters to set us up for further success.
”Massimo’s track record with Pandora over the past 13 years has been unmissable and I’m certain we’ll go even further in delivering world-class customer experiences under his leadership.”
