Primark sales director Allan Molloy is leaving the value fashion giant to join Australian retailer Target.
Molloy, who has previously also worked for Marks & Spencer and Superdrug, will take up a senior operational role at Target, the 283-department store chain acquired by Wesfarmers in 2007 as part of its takeover of Coles.
Since that deal a number of well-known British retailers, including former Halfords chief executive Ian McLeod, have been hired to lead improvements.
Search firm Barracuda, which placed several of them, is also thought to have installed Molloy at Target.
No comment was available from Primark. The retailer’s parent, ABF, will issue an update next Thursday.
