Intrepid retailers from Asda and Screwfix were among the competitors in the Directors’ Commando Challenge at the Commando Training Centre in Devon.
They took part in a gruelling but rewarding nine-mile run and assault course in Lympstone, Devon – including the notorious ‘sheep dip’ – in aid of C Group, which offers mentoring, work placements, training and employment to Royal Marines who face being medically discharged.
The event was organised by retail headhunter Barracuda – founder Jamie Zuppinger is a C Group trustee – and supported by Retail Week and Holland & Barrett.
About £35,000 was raised on the day. Well done all.
