La Senza chief executive Rose Foster has left the lingerie retailer after less than two years in the role.>

The day-to-day running of the business will be taken over by former managing director Malcolm Cooke and former owner and current board director Theo Paphitis.

Foster joined La Senza from Monsoon in April 2007 and initiated a review of the business, introducing a complete rebrand and new store concept for the business.

In a statement La Senza said that is continues to trade in a “difficult economic climate” but that it was well placed to continue with its growth.
