Kingfisher-owned Screwfix has bolstered its management team with the appointment of two new directors across ecommerce and supply chain.
Screwfix head of buying James Mackenzie has been promoted to the role of commercial and ecommerce director while Lindsay Haselhurst has been appointed supply chain and operations director.
Mackenzie, who has worked within the Kingfisher Group for more than 11 years, will oversee the commercial and e-commerce function as well as “identifying new market opportunities for the successful and rapidly expanding Screwfix business”.
Screwfix chief executive Andrew Livingston said: “We are delighted to welcome James to the senior team. His previous experience and knowledge of the industry is exactly what we need to ensure Screwfix remains a retail innovator. We have ambitious plans for the business and are confident that James will play a central role in helping us to realise these.”
Haselhurst was most recently marketing and development director at supply chain firm Wincanton. She will lead Screwfix’s operational strategies across its 340 stores, along with “driving the logistical arm of the business’ successful click and collect service and industry-leading next day delivery capabilities”.
Haselhurst will also be responsible for “enhancing the retailer’s supply chain operations to support forthcoming retail expansion plans”.
Livingston added: “We have no doubt that Lindsay’s wealth of expertise will prove a great asset to the Screwfix business as we look to grow even further over the next 12 months. We are excited to welcome her to the team.”
