SuperGroup, owner of young fashion brands Superdry and Cult, has appointed Ken McCall as non-executive director.
McCall, currently chief executive officer at DHL Express in the UK & Ireland, spent over 18 years with international express and mail delivery services company TNT N.V, holding positions such as chief executive officer TNT China and chief executive officer TNT Asia, Middle East, Africa and India.
The position takes effect from May 24.
The appointment follows the hire of former Vodafone director Peter Bamford as chairman at the start of the year.
Peter Bamford, chairman of SuperGroup, said: “We are delighted that Ken has decided to join SuperGroup, at such an exciting time. His in depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain management together with his extensive international experience perfectly complement the board’s skill set and will be of enormous help in our future expansion, both in the UK and internationally. We look forward to working with Ken to drive the business forward.”
SuperGroup, founded in 1985, floated on the stock exchange in March this year. It has been rapidly expanding its international presence, and over the past two years has opened shops in Australia, Belgium, France, Scandinavia and the US.
Its latest results showed full-year group sales grew 83% to £139m.
