Irish grocer Superquinn has appointed former Dunnes Stores director Andrew Street as its chief executive.
The retailer’s chairman Simon Burke has become non-executive chairman, after agreeing to take up the position of chairman at arts and craft retailer HobbyCraft, as revealed by Retail Week last week.
Street had been chief operating officer at Dunnes for 12 years until late last year. Before that he worked at Boots for 12 years, as a director and board member.
Street will take up the position on December 2.
Superquinn, which has 24 stores, has more position to fill including an operations director and trading director.
