Vision Express has appointed Simon Hope as its chief financial officer, replacing Dominic Evans after two years in the post.
Starting on July 9, Hope will leave his role at fashion accessories retailer Claire’s where he is director of financial planning, reporting and analysis within the European division. He was also previously finance director of the UK business.
In his new role he will help to deliver the retailer’s five year plan.
Evans has left to explore other career opportunities.
Hope said: “I am delighted to be joining Vision Express, a successful and profitable business with a significant share of the UK optical goods market, and part of the GrandVision, Europe’s largest optical retailing group.
“I look forward to joining the management team to further build on the current reputation for customer service and to accelerate growth in sales and profitability.”
Vision Express chief executive Jonathan Lawson added: “Simon has a strong background in retail and will be an asset to our team.”
