Zalando has appointed Boots vice president of beauty and gifting Joanna Rogers to lead its expanding beauty offer.
Rogers will join the online fashion etailer next month as vice president of beauty. She joins Zalando from Walgreens Boots Alliance, where she has helmed the group’s UK beauty offering since 2016.
In her new role, Rogers will be tasked with pushing Zalando’s expansion into beauty. The etailer aims to mirror its current fashion assortment across beauty and internationalise its offer to more markets. The business currently offers 15,000 beauty products across 370 brands and ships to markets including Switzerland, Sweden, France and Italy.
Rogers will report to Zalando senior vice president of supply Boris Ewenstein.
During her time at Boots, Rogers drove the chain’s partnerships with a number of new beauty brands including Fenty Beauty to grow its premium beauty proposition.
Prior to working at Boots, Rogers had roles at Philips and Sage.
