Fashion retailer Phase Eight has signed up to open a 1,518 sq ft store at Hampshire’s new shopping centre, Whiteley.
The womenswear retailer will sit alongside retailers such as Next, Fat Face and Topshop at the £84m Whiteley shopping centre.
The new store comes after Phase Eight launched its first West End shop in February, taking a 3,100 sq ft store on St Christopher’s Place, off Oxford Street. The store trades over two floors and is larger than its standard stores.
Whiteley is a 320,000 sq ft retail destination with 58 shops. The centre, which opened on May 23, is a joint venture development by British Land and Universities Superannuation Scheme. More than 750,000 visitors shopped at the scheme during its first month of trading.
Other signed retailers include Bank, Paperchase, River Island, Schuh, and Sports Direct. It is anchored by a 60,000 sq ft Marks & Spencer.
The letting agents for the scheme are Cushman & Wakefield, Wilkinson Williams and Davis Coffer Lyons.
