Play.com is the first major UK retailer to offer digital tracks and albums without Digital Rights Managements (DRM), meaning customers can download tracks and share them between their iPod and other MP3 devices without having to use iTunes.
Individual tracks will be 14p cheaper than iTunes and albums will be available fromÂŁ4.95 with the top 100ÂŁ1 cheaper than Appleâs download offer.
