Value fashion giant Primark is to open a 86,000 sq. ft flagship store at St David’s, Cardiff, increasing its floor space in the welsh capital by 80%.
The store at the centre, which is jointly owned by Capital Shopping Centres and Land Securities, will open by summer 2014.
A Primark spokeswoman said: “We know there has been a huge demand for a bigger Primark store in Cardiff so it is exciting to finally turn this into a reality.”
American accessories retailer Fossil is also taking its first store at the welsh shopping centre. It will open a 2,205 sq ft store in May.
It follows recent openings for Hamleys and A|X Exchange at St David’s, both of which mark their debut in Wales.
St David’s is advised by Cushman & Wakefield and Jones Lang LaSalle. Fossil was represented by Harper Dennis Hobbs.
