Primark opened its first French store yesterday at the Grand Littoral centre in Marseille.
The 62,800 sq ft store houses the entire Primark winter collection across womenswear, menswear, kidswear and home.
Primark has laid on free bus shuttles from Marseille city centre to the shopping centre for the first week of its opening.
After Marseille, Primark will open its second store in Dijon at Toison d’Or in February next year, followed by shops in Paris suburbs Villeneuve-la-Garenne, Aulnay-sous-Bois and Créteil in spring 2014.
A Primark spokesperson said: “We are so delighted to open our first French store in Marseille at The Grand Littoral. France is well-known for its lifestyle and taste for fashion. It’s a natural place for Primark to be, and we are excited to be able to share our products and love for fashion with the French consumer.”
