The Associated British Foods-owned value retailer has had shops in both Bristol and Belfast for a number of years.
The Bristol branch was part of the city’s Broadmead shopping area, which is being redeveloped and will therefore be a relocation.
The new-look Belfast store will open in the city’s Victoria Square. The exact timing of both openings has yet to be disclosed.
The retailer’s move serves as further confirmation of the success that Primark has enjoyed with its Dalziel + Pow-designed interior.
The retailer’s Oxford Street store was mobbed at its opening last year – several people were injured – and is thought to have enjoyed strong traffic for the remainder of 2007.
Primark operates a total of 173 stores in the UK, Spain and Ireland – where it trades under the Penneys brand.
