As a Thresher manager(20 years with the company) I would like to tell the people who sit in the offices what it is like on the front line...... No stock being delivered, empty shelves appearing rapidly, frustrated and abusive customes (the ones we have left), Repetative conversations explaining that we are one of the shops NOT closing. BUT as we have no stock they cannot understand. My customer count is 75% down and as I was always told in training it takes 30 seconds to loose a customer and 3 months to get them back. Not to mention the boredom having washed and scrubed everything it is possible to clean.
As for the closing shops, vultures, sorry customers who have never been in the shop in their lives asking how much for the fridges, the counter, the shelves, don't worry about the feelings of the staff loosing their jobs just before Christmas. I do hope our new owners have enough behind them to support this rather large sinking ship.
