There’s no doubt that retail is under severe pressure from a range of economic factors but surely this environment also presents a great opportunity. Retailers who manage not just to survive but also to thrive in this environment will find themselves in a much stronger market position. Of course this is easier said than done but some significant retailers are already aiming to do exactly that with a range of different tactics beyond continuously cutting prices.
