it is a sad reflection of the times we live in that the media tend to focus on headlines that are the most sensational and therefore usually negative.

the Sun newspaper in particular would have swayed many voters to follow there personal view to Brexit which was irresponsible to say the least. they would have gained more respect if they had presented what little facts were available in a balanced way allowing the reader to use the information to make up there own mind rather than present the opinion of the Murdoch empire. as we all know, people believe what they read.

the reality of the report shows that London and the south east, which is the powerhouse of the nations spending, showed just a 2% drop in consumer confidence. not that bad then.
