all sounds good to me if a little late.

the Partnership certainly lost its way chasing the online race to end up with double costs for the same product that most bricks and mortar retailers experienced as they chased the pot of gold internet shopping myth that saw sales broadly static with stores experiencing double digit decline not covered by internet shopping sales. .

of course funds due to that excess are now limited hence the staff cuts and no bonus for partners. what i would like JLP management to do is to own up to a failed strategic plan and say sorry to the staff who are the ones paying the price for poor senior managements decisions.

it seems fairly obvious to me that in order to compete with internet shopping the stores can no longer rely on width and availability of offer underpinned by next please and have a nice day. in short, a more balanced approach to the changing market was needed .

at least they are doing something about it having recognised that without a growing sales line in stores the partnership has no future .
