The full and increased rates makes my 50 store chain unviable and we would no option but to close.

All retailers, particularly smaller companies have endured the worst 3 years in trading history ending up with hefty debt just to keep going until the markets return .

Even paying the full existing rates which currently are 59% of our rents means we can’t continue to trade . If an increase on this rates is applied we would close every store the very next day.

Customers simply will not pay more and as prices have risen we have lost 11% of our customer transactions.
