Nice to hear that Michael but what has he actually done since? That's nearly a year ago now and we're still waiting for action on rates, parking, rents and a plethora of other issues.

As far as I can see, it makes very little difference who is in the job. Without proper commitment from the top, it can never be any more than a token appointment. In fact it's so tokenistic they don't even appoint a minister full time.

It's a disgrace and the news today just underlines how little the government values the retail industry.
