I have worked for monsoon for four years and have been totaly humiliated by the crass attempt by our so called leaders to improve the business.Mat Hudson is so out of touch with what the shareholders have entrusted to him. When he has visited our store, London Colney, he is aloof instead of finding out from those who generate the sales what is really going on. Instead he has allowed HR to come up with a sceme that gets rid of the staff who have the ability to make the company successful to be replaced by students and school leavers who will be leaving in September without improving customer loyalty.
Sales are what pays every ones wages and staffing should be decided with this in mind NOT STUPID HR POINTS. The area manager was notified over a year ago that we have no method of controling the number of garments taken into the changing rooms. This information got as far as her clipboard !!! Theft is rife.
When I ran upstairs and used a code word for organised theft in progress, a manager said within ear shot of our area manager "can you get someone else, I am having my lunch" We have cameras to ensure that the things on the shop floor are running correctly, perhaps survailance in the management offices would tell a tale or two. Does Monsoon not know or care about the lives they have wrecked? Well said Christina Bixley.
