Sales take off at BAA

Net income at BAA's UK airport retail business climbed by 12.3 per cent to£146 million for the three months to June 30. Net income per passenger was up 1.8 per cent to£4.06. The World Duty Free chain made a first-quarter operating profit of£6 million, up 20 per cent.
