Poundland is to open its first branch in Scotland, following a deal with land securities to take units 27-29 in the Princes Mall shopping centre in East Kilbride.
The company has taken a 15-year lease on the 300 sq m unit at a rent of £150,000 a year, adding to its portfolio of more than 70 stores in England and Wales.
Poundland already plans to launch another Scottish store at Parkhead Forge in Glasgow, and over the next three years, the company aims to open more than 30 stores at major locations in the UK. Culverwell and Montagu Evans acted on behalf of Land Securities.
