SDEA president steps down after less than one year
Jonathan Loader steps down as Shop & Display Equipment Association (SDEA) president today, less than a year after replacing display company DZD managing director Mark Gosen.
Loader will remain on the SDEA’s council, but said the move would enable him to give ‘greater attention to his commercial interests’, including Railston, the shopfitting firm he owns, and to spend more time with his family.
He said Centaur’s purchase of the IDW show from Retail Visual Merchandising owners Andrew Collclough and Richard Wheeler was another reason for his departure. He said it would see ‘one show serving the needs of the industry’. The Retail Interiors element of the Retail Interiors & IDW show will revert to former owner Emap, publisher of Retail Week.
