Fantasy game specialist Games Workshop has said that its sales and profits are running “well above” the level they were at last year.

The retailer said this morning that sales had “continued strongly” following an earlier update In September in which it revealed revenue was running ahead of last year.

Games Workshop, which is known for its Warhammer games, said that because of the high level of operational gearing in its business “any movement in sales is directly reflected in profits”.

The retailer gave no further detail about why its products were performing so strongly.
