Agent Provocateur chief executive Garry Hogarth is to leave the luxury lingerie business after ten years in the role.
The retailer expects to announce Hogarth’s replacement, who will join the business in April, in the coming weeks. It remains unclear what Hogarth’s future plans are.
It comes following a strategic review of the business by Goldman Sachs, commissioned by Agent Provocateur’s private equity owners 3i.
In 2014, reports suggested that 3i was looking at a sale of the business.
Today Agent Provocateur chairman Chris Woodhouse said: “Following the conclusion last year of a strategic review of the business, Agent Provocateur is entering an exciting new phase of its growth and we are convinced that the next decade will be as bright and successful as the last.
”Garry leaves the business with our best wishes and I am sure that he will be a success in whatever he decides to do next.”
Hogarth said: “I am looking forward to taking some time to relax before embarking on a new chapter in my career and taking on new challenges.”
The business was founded by Joseph Corré, the son of fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, and his wife at the time, Serena Rees. It currently has 12 stores in the UK and 110 stores across 29 markets.
