Online young women’s fashion retailer Missguided is to enter the plus-size market tomorrow with the launch of its Missguided+ line.
The range spans sizes 16 to 24 and is the first in a series of collections planned for 2015 as the etailer works to grow and diversify its customer base into categories including petite and tall.
The line features designs taken from the mainline range and altered for plus-size customers. It also comprises new and exclusive designs created specifically with the plus-size market in mind.
“We’ve built an extremely strong base of loyal consumers over the last five years and a really important value for us is to listen to them and react to their feedback where possible,” said Missguided’s marketing and trade director Victoria Betts.
“In particular we’ve had a lot of demand for a plus-size range. We’re an inclusive brand and it’s something we always wanted to do when we were ready. Having firmly established ourselves in the market, now is the perfect time to make this a reality for customers, particularly in light of recent trends and a growing average dress size,” Betts added.
