Homebase is to launch a painter and decorator service to cash in on Britons who prefer not to do it themselves.
The DIY chain has been testing the services in its North west stores for three months. It offers to paint, tile and floor customers homes.
The Home Retail Group-owned retailer is to start actively marketing the area and, if it proves successful, it will roll it out nationally.
Homebase recently launched fitting services to bathrooms and bedrooms, adding to its kitchen fitting service. It is also moving into carpets and will trial the category in its Watford store.
The retailer is also preparing to launch a new store fit-out, designed by Dalziel & Pow, and will trial the format in its Maidenhead store.
