Value fashion retailer Select is on a retail drive with plans to open 13 new stores by the end of year.
Select is scouting out large towns and cities across the UK to open the stores, including new outlets in Scotland. It is looking to open stores with a space of between 3,000 to 4,000 sq ft.
The retailer has opened new stores in Portsmouth, Lewisham, Southend on Sea, Bristol Broadmead, Westfield Derby, Cardiff St David’s and Tunbridge Wells over the last six months. Select has 130 stores across the UK.
Select is working with landlords including Hammerson, Land Securities, Westfield, CSC and The Mall, as well as property consultants Rowley Hughes Thompson and Cushman & Wakefield.
Chief executive Cafer Mahiroglu said: “Over the last year Select has bolstered its retail presence, and fortified its fashion credentials. New stores boast slick new interior fits, revised creative merchandising and shrewd fashion-forward collections; testament to the success of the strategic repositioning of the brand and marking a new era of development and expansion for the business.”
