Selfridges has made 12 head office positions redundant after a consultation period with 31 staff.
A spokeswoman for Selfridges said that of the 31 people consulted, 18 were redeployed in other roles.
Selfridges entered in to the consultation process with staff at its flagship Oxford Street store in London in February, as revealed by Retail Week.
It is understood that of those positions made redundant, many were at the assistant buyer level and no-one at directorship level was affected.
The spokeswoman added that the retailer had feedback from all of those who went through the process that it was well-communicated and dealt with appropriately.
