Selfridges is to sell 3D printers this Christmas as part of a pop-up shop where shoppers can use a full body scanner to print a miniature figurine of themselves.
The luxury retailer will sell the devices from a 3D printing pop-up shop on the ground floor of its Oxford Street store. Prices will range from £750 to £3,200.
The 3D minature models will cost from £50 up to £200 depending on size.
The full body 3D scan only takes 10 seconds to complete and customers will be able to pick up their miniature one or two days after the scan depending on demand.
Selfridges’ 3D printing pop-up shop will open in October and will be hosted in conjunction with iMarkr, the 3D printing store in Clerkenwell.
