Former breakfast TV queen to front promotions
Selina Scott, former queen of breakfast TV and anchor of the BBC's The Clothes Show, is to be the face of Country Casuals as the retailer seeks to emulate the positive effect that Twiggy has had on sales at Marks & Spencer.

Scott, 55, has signed to endorse a range of clothes for the chain, which was recently rebranded CC. She replaces the younger Saffron Aldridge, who was previously associated with Ralph Lauren, proving that retailers are increasingly aware that women want more realistic role models.

Scott is perhaps best known for her lengthy stint as a presenter on the BBC's Breakfast Time show during the 1980s and, latterly, for her work in the early 1990s with Sky News.
