European Retail Solutions Awards for 2004 have been awarded and Softwide picked up three gongs.
The company won Supply Chain Solution of the year, Most Innovative Use of Technology in-store and the European Retail Technology Solution of the Year award.
The National Gallery Company won the prize for best use of technology in an emerging business for its 'on-demand' poster-printing project. With help from H-P, the gallery has digitised much of its collection and can now offer customers prints while they wait. This allows the company to stock, and always have in stock, as many pictures as it likes from the gallery.
Metro Group chief information officer Zygmunt Mierdorf was named Best IT Retail Professional for his work with Metro's Future Store in Rheinberg, Germany.
The Retail Technology Team of the Year went to New Look, while Specsavers won Best E-Commerce Applications.
