Manchester-based sportswear brand Castore has today announced its acquisition of Leeds-based clothing supplier Infinity Inc.
The acquisition of Infinity Inc, one of Castore’s main suppliers, is expected to “strengthen” its supply chain and enable “a greater speed to market” across the UK and internationally.
Castore co-founder Phil Beahon said: “We have long admired Infinity and have worked closely with Darren [Cohen] and his team over the years so know the quality of product they can deliver.
“We look forward to integrating the business with Castore but also continuing to service the wide array of customers already being serviced by Infinity.”
Infinity chief executive Darren Cohen added: “I am delighted to lead Infinity Inc into this exciting new chapter and partnership with Castore.
“With over 25 years of experience providing branding expertise, innovative solutions, and world class service, we look forward to supporting Castore with their vision to become the number one British sportswear brand.”
The deal marks Castore’s first acquisition after it raised £150m in new capital investment last November.
At the time Castore boss Tom Beahon told Retail Week that doubling down on its investment in high-quality fabrics as well as expanding its footprint were two key priorities for the business.
The sportswear retailer has since embarked on its store footprint expansion opening a new flagship in Dublin in February, the first of 24 new flagship stores across the UK and Ireland this year.
